It all started when…

PEAR VANILLA GINGER

There is a small window in February every year, when William Bartlett pears are beautifully fragrant, and juicy, which makes for a velvety jam and is fantastic served up with all types of cheeses.

MARINADE - ROLLED PORK LOIN/BELLY for Roasting

½ jar of Pear Vanilla Ginger

2 cloves of garlic, crushed

1 teaspoons grated ginger

1 teaspoon lemon zest

Juice of a lemon

Salt & Pepper

Generous teaspoon of smoked paprika, ground fennel & dried sage

Generous tablespoon of Olive oil and sherry vinegar

  • In a dish swish all ingredients together add your pork cut leave for a few hours or overnight.

BLUE CHEESE AND PEAR VANILLA GINGER TARTLET –

AS A DESSERT OR CANAPE

Great blue cheese - Gorgonzola or Roquefort

Jam Lady Jam Pear Vanilla Ginger

Handmade in Healesville Sherry & Onion

  • Pre cook or pre buy some tart cases

  • Smear Pear Vanilla Ginger on the bottom of the tart cases, crumble your blue cheese of choice on top, dessert is made!

  • For a canapé. Add the Sherry & Onion after the Pear Vanilla Ginger, then blue cheese, grind of black pepper, sprig of parsley

VODKA –

On a hot day, Lisa Margaret stirs a teaspoon or two into a  jug of freezing cold vodka and serves wee shots to friends.
